I would live with out it for a few days and get it fixed. it you let it go longer then it might stop working completely.

Its the codec u converted the shot video with. im sure ur display is alright to the eye.

just make all apple software update.
updating the firmware should make it work.

All software updates are installed already along with latest EFI and SMC Firmware updates

Kind of a white/green florescent fried look.. (for lack of a better way to describe it). If I put it in sleep mode with the power button then it snaps back to the way it's suppose to look.

Been putting up with this problem for over a year now. It's got the Apple Care Plan on it but I'd hate to be (even days) without my iMac..!! I have a feeling the problem isn't hardware based since killing the power and rebooting puts all right again.
