Here is one of the most basic shots in squash; the forehand.

3 points to remember:

1. Keep your raquet up
2. Drop your forearm
3."Hold the line" on the ball

Be sure to watch my other squash videos to pick up some handy tips!

Cheers!

  • Thanks so much for all your videos. They are awesome for a beginner. Could you make a video of how to hit the ball when it hits the side and back walls? Those are really difficult for me.

  • Nice! Can you make a vid of backhand also Thanks!!

  • He should let the racket follow threw but he stops it as soon as he has hit the ball

  • @TheGodFather105 dued u must be the best player i have ever not seen .. . how do i no the coche isent a hanicapp

  • should you snap your wrist during forehand and backhand shots

  • His suggestion to swing parallel to the floor is an amazingly effective tip. Doing so allows you to be prepared for the oncoming ball, to meet it with options. I found that swinging this way gave me accuracy, power -- without a lot of effort -- and direction. The ball moves nicely to the corners. My opponents suddenly find me tougher to play.

I am puzzled why he didn't repeat this great pointer on the backhand video. Swing parallel to the floor on that side too, and use about 80% effort.
