20 to 30 pages an hour? I never realized that was the average. I am an avid reader (25 books so far this year) I also read fast apparently I timed it at around 115 pages an hour not speed reading. The books I read usually average around 800 pages. My goal this year is 75 or so books hope fully more! Good vid though. Enjoy your reading

i am an extremely slow reader. before i got this laptop (that i am currently on and have been on for a while today) i would happily fill every spare moment with reading and even that didn't help my number of books lol. i have finished a lot of books and enjoy reading a lot, but this is too hard. however i do need to start back reading again so thanks for the reminder i will get back to it. btw i would love a library like you have :) it looks like a book lovers paradise lol :) at least to me

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is just pick it up. A lot of times I'm not motivated to read but suddenly once I start and get past the initial "should I" phase I find that I'm cranking page after page.

Cutting down on TV to read more is great advice - but the idea that you should fill every little break or pause in your day with a few pages would absolutely kill the pleasure I take in reading. Too much like a chore that has to get done. I'd much rather set aside a stretch of time at the end of the day that I can really get into reading - but I'm mostly a non-fiction reader. It's probably better advice for fiction readers who are looking for something to take them out of the moment.
