@bhushan80 nagpur is not only a major rail- junnction, but also division of south-east-central- railways, under division headquarter bilaspur. also important from air force point of view as it has maintenance command.

sorry bharat u r wrong.......since nagpur is the largest metropolitan city in central india, it has many trains from mumbai, delhi, kolkata, chennai, hyderabad and banglore. It carries 189 exprs trains and 150 cargo trains per day.......so it is the largest and bussiest junction............

mannnn..............bhushan ur wrong.............the most important station in central india is ITARSI jn.................it is the busiest rail junction in india but it has only 5 platforms and terrible traffic.........the maintainance isnt that up to the mark but u can get any necessary things in the platform itself!!!!!!!

Nagpur is a very important station in Central India due to its strategic location, it is one of the busiest. One of my friends from Nagpur told me about this...How many platforms are there at Nagpur? Is it a junction?
