@intekra I believe, cost another major factor
-
@SandMasta - Is this where I'm supposed to give a fuck? Oh wait - I don't. For someone who has 'built and driven 1200hp' cars, you'd think you'd have more respect for others who share the same interests. We can't all afford to build 1200hp cars, but whatever. Some people.

@ruskiroma Maybe have something to do with timing..
-
@intekra : please correct me if wrong but, I believe the supercharger provides a bit more low end torque vs a turbo since a civic has LOOWWWW end torque.
-
@intekra gotcha...i was just seeing that every gen 8 si had super instead of turbo.
-
i like supercharge more then turbo. Sexy ass vtec

sorry if i sound stupid but why are civic sis always supercharged and not turbo?

@munkeyman90 - Older Civics are rarely supercharged. (at least where I'm from). The newer Civics seem to be more commonly supercharged because they are considered to me much more reliable power, easier to install, and require less maintenance. Whether that's true or not is debatable, but I got what I wanted from the supercharger.

@intekra I read somewhere it had something to do with a gear ratio or some ratio? and if you turbo your new si without changing that ratio it fucks up you car in the long run? is that ringing a bell? ANYONE???

@ruskiroma I've not heard of anything like that. Perhaps you're thinking of air/fuel ratio? Whenever you add any kind of power adder like a turbo or supercharger you need to tune the car to be sure it is getting the proper mixture. (too little or too much fuel is VERY bad, and when making more power than stock, makes it easy to break or destroy things)
