"Experts say raw milk does not allow pathogens to grow"--incorrect. Dairy cows raised and kept in sanitary conditions and in particular kept clean and fed a safe diet have milk which contains few pathgens, as long as it is properly containered and refridgerated after milking. If the cows are NOT kept clean, properly fed, or the milk is not properly handled, raw milk can grow pathogens capable of killing, in particular TB, aspergillosis, botulism, and encephalitis.

@daffodyllady It used to be. A guy could KO his wife if dinner wasn't ready when he came home. Doggone reformers.

I grew up milking a cow by hand on our small farm. Mom sold butter at the local farmer's market. We almost never needed a doctor.
My son is lactose intolerant. But he can drink raw milk with no stomach upset. With his intolerance of wheat and soy, the availability of raw milk products greatly enhances the variety of diet allowed to him.

@facelessone86 Raw milk is well worth the research. It has cured me of allergies, and I feel so much better than I ever have.
If anybody is stll watching this site I want to add my story. My wife and I live on a small farm where we milk our own cow, Daisy. We buy very little from the grocery store as our diet consists of raw milk, butter, our own beef, pork, eggs and chickens as well as vegetables and berries from a large garden.
We were both raised on raw milk and we have never had any problems. I start having physical problems when I go off raw milk.
Government intervention is, in my opinion, way over the line.
