Half-Life 2
Developer: Valve
Released: Vivendi Universal Games 2004

** Plot
After taking part in a teleport malfunction, letting aliens from a planet called Xen into the Black Mesa research facility, Dr. Gordon Freeman escapes and is coerced into working for an unscrupulous government agent known only as the G Man. Placed into stasis by the G Man, Dr. Freeeman awakens on a train heading for a massive European city known only as City 17. An alien empire called the Combine watches over an army of human minions that occupy Earth and enslave its populace, devouring its resources. And sitting within the massive fortress called the Citadel that controls the oppression is none other than Gordon Freeman's old administrator, Dr. Wallace Breen. Uniting with his old acquaintances from the Black Mesa research facility, Dr. Freeman finds himself the one free man of Earth with the fate of humanity resting on his shoulders.

** Notes
I appended the following bonus material at the end of the longplay:
- The Lost Coast expansion level. This free additional level is supposed to take place between the levels "Highway 17" and "Sandtraps" and is primarily a showcase for high dynamic range rendering (HDR) technology.
- Every animated menu background (the main menu changes according to the point you reach in the game)

  • It's amazing how well this game still holds up graphically, unlike the first one. Every FPS should hold this game as the standard.

  • i remember when this amazing intro was released at E3 2003 oi 2004 if i remember correctly, everyone was blown by this awesomeness which back then it was never before seen! the facial model and muscle animation WOW! what an amazing game!

  • Great quality, great sound, great gameplay. What more could I want?

    Good job

  • Slowly, but more and more, you're starting to see what part of this game is meant as 'life', by witnessing it happening in real 'life'. Drones, police checkpoints on the streets, the 'hunt down' of anti-elite activists, like 'Breitbart'.

  • uberhaxnova and his friends walkthroughs are halarious but this one is Better!!

  • hmm

  • Nice walkthrough

  • The NDAA, SOPA, Obama already having dictatorial powers in a dictatorial political system.. Drones and cameras spying people everywhere.. hmm the game already has many similarities with real life in the USA.

  • Is this a game? Or a documentary about the USA in the near future?

  • never done it.. gonna play it in a bit.. installing as we speak now and getting episodes 1 and 2 aswell

  • Imagine if I was a box in city 17, with Freeman around.

    O_o

  • @jonbob0008 The only bad thisng about this game is the underground railroad lasting an hour long. How long can we toil in the sewers and shoot conbines?!
