    Het door u gespeelde Valse Triste van Sybelius is voor mij een hernieuwde kennismaking.

    Als ventje van acht speelde mijn oudere broer Co die nu in Canada woonachtig is dit schitterende stuk in de koude voorkamer van ons ouderlijk huis in Hillegom in de van Tetsstraat en zat ik naast hem tot tranen geroerd. Dit stuk roept heel fijne romantische herinneringen wakker en U krijgt een beste groet van de Sybarit Schilder Landloper

  • @shilloshillos I think that preserving on the piano the ample breath of the original version is impossible; so, Magaloff's choice to make something different, a bit more sentimental and salon-like, could be wise

  • The pacing is mighty erratic. I don't recall Magaloff being so liberal with his tempi. I can't say that I like it.
