All trains in this video were shot between 12-5:30pm CST:

1. BNSF 1087 & 5290 (C44-9W's)- westbound intermodal screams towards the diamonds.

2. UP 5575 (AC44CW) & 7057 (AC4460CW)- A slow moving westbound coal drag with empties heads back to the Powder River Basin for a reload.

3. UP 6958 (AC4460CW), 6296 (AC44CW) & 7159 (AC4460CW) DPU- Another slow moving empty coal drag returns west and completes a perfectly executed meet with an eastbound intermodal.

4. UP 5371 (ES44AC), 4513 & 4507 (SD70M's)- eastbound intermodal meets westbound empty coal train.

5. UP 4089 (SD70M), 8519 (SD70ACe), 1924 (GP60) & Y682 (GP15-1)- Some unique power heads up this westbound manifest.

6. UP 8598 (SD70ACe) & 3993 (SD70M)- eastbound autoracks

7. UP 3941 & 3934 (SD70M's)- another rack train, this time westbound

8. A MOW crane heads east on the BNSF with horn a blowin'.

9. BNSF 5271 & 4886 (C44-9W's)- a fast moving westbound intermodal passes the park

10. UP 4370 & 4655 (SD70M's)- westbound mixed freight

11. BNSF 5365 & 4779 (C44-9W's)- eastbound autoracks

12. UP 4185, 4648, 4983 (SD70M's) & 8530 (SD70ACe)- westbound intermodal passes a gaggle of assembled railfans.

13. UP 7385 (ES44AC), 4127 & 3892 (SD70M's)- another fast moving stack train, this one heading east towards Chicago.

14. UP 8160 (SD9043MAC) & CSX 787 (ES44AC)- First foreign power of the day works this westbound manifest.

15. BNSF 5477, 5068, 5313 & 4812 (all C44-9W's)- BNSF brings the speed again on this westbound stacker.

16. BNSF 1045 (C44-9W) & 7269 (ES44DC)- An eastbound freight sneaks in behind the previous train.

17. UP 5953 (AC44CWCTE), CSX 5209 (ES44DC) & 460 (AC44CW)- Another empty coal train heads west with foreign power.

18. UP 8472 (SD70ACe), 4638 & 4481 (SD70M's)- This eastbound stack train gains speed after departing Global III intermodal facility.

19. BNSF 7400 (ES44DC) & 4037 (C44-9W)- More high speed intermodal action eastbound on the Aurora Sub.

20. UP 4850 & 5115 (SD70M's)- westbound mixed freight

21. UP 6792 (AC44CW), 7683 (ES44AC), LOCX 1005 (SW8) & UP 7524 (ES44AC)- The last train of the day for me has the most interesting power with a low-emissions switcher built by Industrial Railway Switching And Services of Lorain Ohio and a brand new GEVO in the consist.

  • The first engine on the first UP train is almost as dark as a SP unit due to the lack of cleaning.
