I'm not trying to be all up in your business, lol. But I have similar hair type and I use cream based products to help define my curl. I don't use gel cause it just doesn't define anything. I only do my twist outs on dry/damp hair, it seems to help and I do comb it through with a very wide tooth comb (after detangling) and keep two sections I"m twisting as seperate as possible. Don't know if you are already doing those things but maybe that will help.

man Id love to do that twist out..my hair just...is my hair -___ every time I try to seperate it(after I twist it) instead of having volume and smaller curly strands.. it just goes back to it's original formless 4b puff. Im tired of fighting lul
