The Seattle Sounders advanced 6-5 on penalty kicks over the Kansas City Wizards on July 8tth at Qwest Field. Chris Eylander blocked KC's 7th kick and Zach Scott scored Seattle's winner.

my soccer team played an exhibition game on qwest field right before this game, and we all stayed to watch it. this dude on my team kept yelling at this guy namd watson from the wizards. the ball would get kicked out on the other side of the field and he'd yell at watson that it was his fault and he sucked. that guy schmid, from the sounders, he's a beast. he missed one good goal-scoring opportunity and
