I have friends outside of DC, and as a result, they live outside of DC... How does living there result in most of the people you know working for the government? High command and intel?
That would be cool.. moving near DC and making friends and talking with people who advise the President of the United States. I would need an "in" though, I would think.. I don't believe that simply living outside DC would result in me getting to know all those types of people. That's cool that you do :-)
I live outside of DC. As a result, most of the people I know work for this country's government and some of them are high command and intel - the type of people that advise our President on issues like the Iraqi conflict. I assure you that our national servicemen and women - from the military to Congress - are nothing close war-mongering idiots. They are often the best of the best. The smartest and most disciplined of us. Don't talk to me about the war unless you can best them.
@Ohmythatspainful You are so sorely mistaken my friend. I don't have to read anymore than three of your posts to know that most of your opinion - at least in regards to our presence in Iraq - is based not on fact, but rumor. I suggest you apply yourself from now on. Watching television, reading an occasional article, and involving yourself in lamen discussion doesn't help. Study, get at least one college degree, and come back when you've developed a respectable take on things. :)
im sry but this video is not fake i was posted about 350 yards from this explosion and i was hit by pieces of rock and debris. to all you who dont no how many feet 350 yards is. 1000 feet an 8th of a mile away and the explosion itself was so loud i was speechless for about 10 minutes... scared the shit out of me and my cpny soldiers...This was the biggest ied explosion i came across while i was active, I counted at one time we encountered aproximately 32 ied explosions in 40 days. 3 were killed
I am an American. I love my country. I support my country's troops, always. I believe all branches of the US military were created for specific purposes only, mainly to defend the US against invasion, or imminent invasion, or from Domestic Threat as well, and, under certain circumstances, to deploy to other countries in order to protect and serve alongside our allies, in their country(s) if they are invaded.
@gantispen If US troops wouldn't be over there, they wouldn't be getting killed, now would they? When is the last time Iraq invaded America? And if they did, hypothetically of course, then I would expect you, me, and other Americans to fight back any way we could. Yes, training kids to do this stuff is evil, but is it not also evil when a high-tech Superpower invades a piss poor war torn weak-ass nation that never posed any threat to them?
@MichaelDisotell120 What kind of logic is that? There are rulers all over the world who are like Saddam was and worse. Should the US invade their countries and "remove" all of them? There are other reasons the US gov sent US troops to Iraq; it wasn't just because Saddam was a bad guy. The US put him in power, supported him for years. He was only labelled evil and bad by the US after the gov decided it was the right time in history to invade Iraq and remove him... for whatever reasons..
Ever seen the movie, "Red Dawn"? It was about a group of American kids who fought back against a foreign invasion of their country. They didn't have the "big toys" like the invaders had, so they had to improvise by building traps, pits, etc. They were heroes.
If you are going to invade a country with your high tech weapons, etc., don't be surprised when the People of that country fight back..
"They're sneaky and dirty and evil, they use IED's and stuff..."
