  • i know this sounds stupid but how can you tell if your chords are in minor or major?

  • a major chord is made of the intervals 1,3,5 while a minor chord is made from the intervals 1, b3, 5 - so its the b3 that makes it minor - look at the 3rd interval

    rock on!

    DT

  • Thanks man. That is an awesome guitar lesson! Now please give me that awesome strat you're playing, that my life may be complete...*grin*

  • Good lesson David! I guess I borrow from a lot of modes without knowing their names--just starting to become literate on this. Your videos help a lot. Had a little trouble hearing your guitar in the second half of the video. Your voice was louder than the instrument, fyi.

  • insh allah!

  • I thought that was my DOg I was like what the hell is she doing outside....

I love the lesson just hard to hear the notes with the Delay...

  • You guys have the best on line guitar lessons anywhere. I think you should mention that much of what you teach applies to electric bass also. I'm originally a bass player, but have been playing guitar for over 20 years too. I'm loving that you guys cover tons of theory and technique...not just how to slap an instrument with disreguard to melody. You guys are the best!
