The multi-purpose PowerPlatform vehicle is the next generation municipal machine. The 260hp machine has 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering along with 26,000 lbs of cargo capacity. The combination of visibility and maneuverability make the PowerPlatform the perfect municipal vehicle. Go to www.customchassisinc.com/platform.php for more information.

  • Is it a new holland cab?

  • Correct. It is the same cab used on the CNH CR/CX series combines. A completely new 400+ circuit harness was created to incorporate our controls, however.

  • Oh right!

Is it mid - engined then?

  • The engine/power shift transmission is mid mounted right behind the cab and low in the frame.

  • that is bad ass, whats the top speed?is it better on fule,i like how it handles

  • Thanks for the complement. This version tops out at 35mph. Another version will reach 45mph.

  • only $100k more than the conventional snowplow..would hate to find a soft spot with it, would quickly sink due to weight, otherwise I can see it seems like a good idea.

  • Now that would make quick work of my driveway.

  • it looks like a vredo track

  • @MotoScootMech i just wish that we could take the entire front end off, everything forward of the engine mounts...

  • @joek0617 Lol so I bet you're always wishing 'I sure wish there were easy disconnect shafts and sliding compartments on this pontiac.' xD

  • @MotoScootMech not diesels, buicks... ugh, and a pontiac

  • @joek0617 6 cylinder diesels? What vehicles are you working on?

  • @MotoScootMech lol, i'm in my schools auto class, and the worst vehicles to work on are the 6 cylinders, u can barely get at anything

  • @joek0617 Definitely viable options, but think about how much more complex the machine would become then (and then how many more parts there are to break), not to mention all of the added cost of designing and manufacturing these 'maintenance friendly' parts. Keep in mind it still takes time to disconnect those shafts and enable the sliding function of the compartment. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm just presenting potential challenges to what seems to me is a good idea.

  • @MotoScootMech well.... you could make it easy to disconnect shafts, and make the compartment slide out...
