I own both and I can tell ya, both are extremely reliable. Each is in it's own level of quality.
The Denali is more rugged great for towing with it's Vortec 6.2 L V8 SFI heavy duty 380 HP @ 5,700 rpm with 417 lb. torque engine. You'll feel like you're driving a tank.
The Escalade or ESV has a smoother ride at higher speeds. it also has a Vortec 6.2 V8 with 403 HP @ 5,700 rpm with 417 lb. Torque.
Both do 0 to 60 in 6.4.

Both vehicles are built by GM and have the same standards they are required to live up to, I believe that when it comes down to reliability they would be the same.
