I don't get it. He told kids about global warming and told them his experience during the civil rights movement. Whats the big deal? He gave these kids hope and empowered them to the truth that they are the future of this world, that is what I heard him telling these kids.

Al Gore has successed in being a crook, a liar, and a destroyer of the American way of life. What a waste of any talent this man may have had. Al, Galileo was not a teenager correcting his elders, he was 68 years old and older than most of the members of the Church inquisition that persecuted him for being a heretic. Next, Galileo was the father of "modern" science, meaning that science no longer was a matter of "concencus", which you advocate, but a matter of observational fact, which you deny. Why not debate your peers instead of hiding behind high school kids.
