@dobroplayer92 Mom says back in Phx. everyone in Pickers -N- Grinners all used Mapes strings--that was the "big thing". Nice Regal. Interesting how you use the two .019s. Must give you great tone! I love how we all have our own little tricks! I have a Dobro, but I also do not know if I have a stamped or a spun cone, or anything else about it. Thx for the info & keep pickin' & grinnin' ! CCDG

Incredible! Nice way to honor Uncle Josh too! Foggy Mtn. Rock has been a very difficult song for me to play. Takes alot of skill, patience, and SKILL. You make it look easy. Nice job! Not to pry, but what make of resonator is this, and what kind of strings do you like?

@CARROLLCTYDOBROGIRL Well the guitar itself is a Regal, but I don't know what kind of cone it has. The strings I use mostly are D'Addario mediums. I don't use the top two out of the pack, instead I substitute two .019 gauge strings. My favorite set of strings, which are very hard to find, is heavy gauge Mapes. They start with a .060 gauge on the top.

I like that! I'm gonna have to borrow a few of those licks from the second part of that song from you.
