I hate carpets to..
right mow we have wooden floors & soon will be moving into a beauitifull place, it has beauitifull carpets...
i love mopping instead..
our apt is near the students & bad area & got our apt broke into
we got out of our lease & moving......
they installed new carpets, thank god.

junk junk junk i owned 2 of them and would never buy other one again the spinning heads dont do shit unlike the bissel with has brushes like a vacum cleaner which work a hell of alot better bissel the way to geting dirt from rug !!!

I just used mine for the first time and I thought it did a good job. the Hoover is replacing a Bissel which quit working after many years of good work. I decided to go with the Hoover because of the dual tank system that was the one thing I didnt like about the Bissel the single tank was messy to clean after using it. the Hoover is much easier to clean afterward and from what I can tell does just as good as the Bissel did.For what I paid I'm happy.

@800kirby yes i steam clean weekly and i eventually want to go all hardwood floors...i have 2 boys and it is so hard to keep clean

I just got one of these from Fred's (thats a store if you didnt know) and it is refurbished and i paid $99. Havent used it yet.

@aleon1018 Don't buy the Hoover cleaner. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the the Zep brand. You'll get lot more for the price and it's industrial strength. Also buy Resolve to soak the stains and spots also.

Areas that have a lot of sand is said to wear out the carpet with the sand settling down grinding the base that holds the pile or carpet. I'm not a fan of shag carpets myself. I prefer a commercial grade instead.

I just used mine to do a small area as a test. The area goes from the garage, across my dining room to the kitchen. It pulled some serious dirt out of the carpet. It just made me see how much work I have to do when I actually have to clean the carpets in this whole house. :-( This cleaner also made the carpet feel soft to the touch after 4 years of traffic and settled dirt and stains. I give it 5 thumbs up!!!!

@deezomaxima me too! I am addicted to using it weekly now just because I hate to see how much dirt we really track.
