  • I watch this video every time I feel down and depressed.

  • Actually, 787B had lowest fuel consumption. Yes this was also due to car was lighter than others in group C. Rotary engine isnt that horrible inefficient as you may think. It just dont like partial load, at full load rotary is almost as efficient as 4-stroke piston engine. But main key to win was reliability. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but in racing, rotary is most reliable and durable engine. Some 4 rotors have covered more than 100 racing hours before rebuild-unmatched in piston world.
