Hey thanks for looking at this video! This is a short clip of me starting my car after it has been sitting for one day. When I first turn on the car, the engine will "hiss" for about 2 seconds then die down. There is a constant ticking noise when I drive although it is not a rod knock. When I accelerate the ticking gets louder. The oil pressure light comes on at idle in drive, and reverse, but doesn't come on in park or neutral. My dad and I have looked at the pistons but there is no problem, we have looked at the timing belt and there is no problem, we replaced the rod bearings so not those, and the camshaft is in the right notch for timing. We think that it may be an oil pump that the owner before us had put it by a mechanic? We are not sure! Please help us! It would be very much appreciated, thanks again for looking!

  • @bmm1793 no.its at the shop now im getting a new engine

  • @jeffrodee1 did you ask the mechanics there to see if they know what it is?

  • Yeah I have this problem as well, I've changed everything (and I mean bearings, water pump, tensioner bearings etc.) except the oil pump. I'm starting to wonder if it's that.

  • ever think to check the idlers on the timing belt my engine makes the same noise i think its normal

  • @bmm1793 I'm down to oil pump and flywheel. I'm going to check the flywheel first but it's going to be a while before I get to do that.

  • @thewhitenight if the timing belt was changed and then noise occured it would almost seem like the timing is off. If timing is off it could be vavles hitting the pistons (just slightly). Pull your timing cover and check timing marks on the crank and cam pulleys.

  • Hello I'm from Saudi Arabia and I have such a car

I expect that this audio from Time belt

    And place inside the engine
