Yes I know that Thats why I said around 70% the tax rate was 90%. The fact was is after WW2 America was free from global competition. Due to the ruins of Europe. but it still was high. And flat currency is just swapping out problems for new problems. but if the libertarian argument... to get rid of government to get back at cooperation's? Thats one way to look at it- until you realize that the ultra wealthy had far more expenditures they could write off back then. I do not care if it was 200% the fact is they made out like bandits and the poor were just suckers to believe they actually paid the going rate. Now it's a handfull of elites skipping out on taxes- it used to be all of them
