  • Please keep 'em comin'! As more rarities emerge from the bluegrass archives more and more folks will learn how it was done before these traditional sounds are gone forever. You are helping to preserve a national treasure sir!

  • So good to see Big Mon standing tall and proud - and rightly so!

And Kenny Baker's sweet fiddling weaving like a golden thread all through that fine tune.

    Classic!

  • RIP Kenny Baker, the fiddling in this tune is totally incredible.

  • Celebrate the 100 years of Bill Monroe! Praise GOd for such a wonderful Kentuckian!

  • Bluegrass is for country what speed metal is for heavy metal music. Plain awesome.

Purchased a few of Bill's records when i was traveling the US last year. DAMN, they are good.

  • Rual Yarborough (banjo), James Monroe (guitar), Kenny Baker (fiddle). Who is that bass man, he is really walking it! We only get a brief look but I think it is "Mister Sideman" Joe Stuart.

    According to Wikipedia:

Bill Monroe And His Blue Grass Boys - Blue Moon Of Kentucky * From season 2, episode 8, originally aired 11. November 1970.

This was during the time Uncle Pen album was recorded.
