Remove a screw weld the hole. Be sure to get good penetration for a good bond. We'll grind the welds down flush later. You won't be able to see them.

  • Jumping around vs going next to next sounds like a good tip.

Drill cord wasn't near an area where it could melt... I felt completely safe.

  • are you doing a circular pattern in your weld?

  • is this the best way to install a floor pan and where can u get sheet metal at

  • Thanks for the vid! I am going to be welding in some panels on a 73 chevy pretty soon, and need all the tiips i can take!

  • time to get he flap disc out! )

  • @MarkETroy im not really refering to melting the cord, im meaning that your passing an electrical current through what the drill is laying on.

  • just also realised, i wouldnt wanna leave my electric drill laying on something im welding... food for thought.

  • @mstngsrule68 ya its not a huge deal with the floor because its got the grooves but you have to watch distortion doing that too.i would work outside in

  • if anyone trys this, you should really be jumping around vs, going next to next. expecially running flux.

  • Simple video, but vey useful information. Thanks.
