THIS IS A TRUE STORY NARRATED AND SUNG IN THE FORM OF POETRY BY SHEIKH IDRIS AKBAR.

BACKGROUND : During the era of the second Muslim Caliph, 'Umar Ibn Al-Khattab, a Coptic man filed a complaint to 'Umar against the son of the Muslim ruler of Egypt Amr Ibn Al-Aas. The Coptic man had a race with the son of the Muslim ruler and he was faster and could win. The son of the Muslim ruler hit him. The Coptic man related this story to the Muslim Caliph who straightaway wrote a strong worded message summoning the ruler and his son to the Muslim Caliphate. The Coptic man was hosted by the Muslim Caliph. When the ruler and his arrived and in the presence of the public the Muslim Caliph asked the Coptic man to hit back the son of the Muslim ruler and said few words embedded in the memory of the Muslim history. He said: "When have you enslaved people and yet their mothers delivered them as free people." Allah said: "O mankind! Verily, We have created you from a male and female and made you into peoples and tribes that you may know each other. Surely the noblest among you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous."
