How was GW1 not balanced? They rebalanced it every week the so meta was in constant change. There were hundreds of viable high level play builds like ranger spike, necro spike, degen pressure, IWAY, MM, rainbow spike, other gimmicky builds, and the hundreds of variations on balanced builds. No game can achieve perfect balance so if the meta is constantly shifting, that should count as balanced. With the amount of build customization in that game, it was also very easy to make a counter build

@1989Anarkie i heard in structured pvp (not world pvp) u get a full set of pvp armor and all skills in the game, i saw a dev say it.

unless he wasnt explaining himself right, which i hope.

Are you the one that made the video showing that even if your armor level 50 has better stats than a level 30, you can keep the appearance of the lvl 30 with the lvl 50 atributtes?

@Trigggggggggggger dont worry in gw1 each armor had its elite version which is very hard to get and has same stats but 10 tmes cooler looks and no shortcuts to getting it.

@MengoMango I listened to an interview video with one of the dev's in charge of balancing talking about the skill system and how they said it was very hard for them to balance because there were too many options and too many variables. So considering it came from someone whose job it was to balance I'd reckon it was pretty hard, lol.

Not 100% but I think the video is on Xolfury's channel or someone similar.

Equal gear as everyone else? I kinda like the aspect of having something to earn to prove that you spent the time and effort to get gear better than someone who turns the game on and starts pvping. And PvP should never be intertwined with PvE thats completely obvious.

I'm playing SWTOR right now and so many kids are in denial how bad the PvP is in that game and how much better GW2 is going to be in comparison.
