At age 39 and 264 days, Michael Jordan dominated the game in just 30 minutes. The Greatest Player of All Time scored 25 points on 9-14 FGs (64.3%) along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. But the stats only tell part of the story. Jordan controlled the game, making key shots, passes to open team mates and drawing fouls on defenders. It makes you wonder what he would have scored if he was in his athletic prime.

Wearing a pair of Air Jordan 7s, 24 year old Kobe Bryant struggled with his shooting 8-21 (39%) but still managed to score 27 points thanks to perfect Free throw shooting (11-11)

This was an early season game between the two. Jordan was experimenting with coming off the bench at the time in an effort to develop some of the younger Wizard Players. That is why he only played 30 minutes. It would have easily been a 30 plus point game if he played his usual minutes. The Lakers were the defending champions, coming of their three-peat the previous season but were without Shaq who was injured.

Sorry for the audio - I did not have an English version, but this game was too good not to upload.

Note - I guess I expected this video to get some comments about who is greater, but I didnt expect this.

I'm not a Kobe hater. I really like Kobe and I think that he a Dwyane Wade are the closest players in the game to Jordan.

BUT Jordan is clearly the greatest of all time. Phil Jackson said in a recent interview about Kobe and Lebron compared to Jordan

"They may be able to break a record he had or maybe win more championships. Michael was 28 when he won his first championship, and LeBron could win one before he reaches that age and have a chance at winning more than six. But Michaels image as a player will always stand and HIS GREATNESS WILL NEVER BE SUPERSEDED.

  • @blackadam06 The Jordan homers are out in full force.. Hand checking?? Lmaooo.. Ever Chicago Bull fand admit that defensive players couldn't touch Jordan without a whistle!!! You haven't watched him get phantom bailout calls/no calls his whole career? Non more obvious then the no call when he pushed Russell out of the way against the Jazz in the finals.

  • @DevilzDandruff Haven't you ever seen the Pistons or Knicks series from the late 80s early 90s? If they did that tried to do that stuff with today's rules Jordan would have shot 50 free throws a game.

  • there will never be another Jordan. He is by far the G.O.A.T

  • kobe cannot win rings without shaq or gasol or fisher or artest ...and stats show why jordan is goat...and we debating here the best player between two, we are not debating how many championships they made

  • Jordan was overhyped beyond belief, and sheeple eat it up. Lol. Guy won Nothing without Scottie Pippen! NOTHING! Not even one playoff game.

  • @DevilzDandruff look at pacers vs wizards when mj was defended by artest. come back and apologize to everyone for telling lies. artest had nothing for mj

  • @espdemon i thought i saw kobe trying to guard him here, are u saying kobe was a cupcake? the pistons along with other teams did more than double Mj, they triple teamed him. Jordan ruled the NBA until he stepped down from the bulls. Kobe is not even the best in the nba right now. No more comparisons to MJ. Try Lebron. Wade or Rose.

  • @espdemon

and he is not overrated, he just dominated the league that time. Even he did not made his championship for 7 years, still he has high scoring percentage during his rookie days, imagine the 69 points against celtics with larry bird

  • @DevilzDandruff

That was nice of the refs to put the ball in the hoop for him too. If only the Pistons and the Knicks would have Ded him a little.....eyes roll...They did everything but punch him.

  • @espdemon

yes no zone defense on jordan's era, but zone defense will not s worked againts elite players, man to man is more preferable because it closed gap of passing lanes, zone only applies to ballhogs and team in foul trouble . At that time there was no 3 sec rule for depending center, so its hard to penetrate easily inside because big man was just waiting on you. And i disagree with you that double was illegal that time, actually the "JORDAN RULES" explains it all.I do not ellaborate more

  • Jordan is waaay overrated, before Scottie Pippen the Bulls were getting swept by Detroit. Did Jordan even win a playoff game before Pippen??? LMAO!!!
