Kenya is the most corrupt country in East Africa yet again. In the latest Transparency International report, Kenya is listed as number 146 on the corruption perception index in the world, an improvement by one spot from the position it held last year.

  • You're right, however, despite Somalia's position we should not feel relieved, because we're not really any better when it comes to impunity and the politicians robbing us in broad daylight & then parading their small accomplishments hoping to rob us again come 2012, Kenya was once the pride of the continent & those days are long gone...

  • I guess by East Africa they mean the 5 member states of the EAC and not eastern Africa in general.

  • I guess they are going by what we were taught in primo ie East Africa is Ke, Ug, and Tz then the rest are Eastern instead of East.

  • If they get a more fucntional political institutions, I think corruption would not be an issue in the republic of somalia. Iran is one of the most corrupt coutries because it is developing nuclear weapons.

  • Ringera's legacy. I wonder why the man was paid ksh2.5 m a month for. By the way is Somalia not in east africa? So it should be the most corrupt in the region not Kenya.
