I've NEVER been a believer in the "life flashes before your eyes," "everything slows down" thing, but the crowd goes silent, waiting in suspense at about the 4:23 mark as the ball is in the air.
As A Side Note, I Watched This Entire Game In The Waiting Are Of An Emergency Room. I Ended Up Having To Have An Appendectomy That Day.

The audio on this vid is misleading. It must have been muted, or at least trimmed down. Maples was the loudest I've ever heard it for those last two minutes of the game, it was like a jet engine. If it was that quiet, no one noticed because everyone's ears were ringing, and it only got louder after the shot was made. Coupled with the springy floor, which wasn't replaced until the next season, you got a serious case of vertigo afterward.
