they can do a whole lot better that the drumline in 03 was the best, matter of fact the band in 03 was the sh*t... c/o 03 soulsection all the way

03 was good because they had just combine the school don't fool nobody, the shine was there but don't forget who polished you. you could help but be good with over 200 strong

sorry not a bruh. But to answer your question. The band director's local organization meets and decideds what they would like to do each year after the football season. Normally they do not do a drum competition, but this particular school just choose to do it.
