Tin Can Bay is well known for its Bowling and Golf events while its only a 5-minute drive in your own car, a Courtesy Bus can be arranged to pick you up at your door and bring you home from the Clubs allowing you to protect your drivers license when having a few drinks at the local Sports Club, Country Club, Golf Club, Bowls Club, or Rowing and Yacht Club.
Some come just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy some peace and quiet and so a 5-minute walk to the bike path and shady walkways takes you along some beautiful water frontage with picnic areas, and childrens playgrounds close by in either direction.
Many come for the dolphin-feeding and cruise opportunities, but boating, fishing and crabbing are also high on the priority list. Go on a Fishing Charter, but if you want, you can bring your own boat by all means as there is plenty of room to house it, and 2 cars, in the back yard. And dont forget, Frazer Island and 4×4 Driving go hand in hand too, after you cross the vehicular ferry at nearby Inskip Point. Dont have a 4WD or boat? No Problem. Hire one from one of the local suppliers.
Closer to home, for your convenience though, there is a well-stocked IGA store, a Bottle Shop, fast food outlets and other specialty stores, as well as local markets on the weekends (see local notices for further details).
