I installed Windows 7 earlier - you have to use 32 bit as the Atom isn't a 64 bit capable, well some of the later are, but the one's in the Acer and EEE Pc are not.
I installed Mobline which is available here: http://www.moblin.org
Installed was the Netbook 2.0 beta on an Aspire One and an EEE Pc - Both installs worked great, and the yum updates actually worked on the first try as well. Boot times were really fast. I installed sshd so I could login remotely and play around.
I would really like to see a release of Backtrack specifically for the Netbooks! That would be amazing if it's available.
not true about the Aspire one only being 32 bit that is only for older aspires with older atoms. I have one with a n455 and it does 64 bit so if you buy a newer one I can confirm they do work with 64 bit architecture

yea i don't seem to get past the IMG file, the windows says it's corupted, linux is just able to unpack some files making it not bootable anymore. Wish they could have used just an ISO file

if you install this is it possible to keep your current windows operating system, or will it delete it from the computer? I have used linux before, and it kept it, but the screen it shows is too confusing for me to understand.
