@Xxhoyt1992xX I have had the same problem. But they are so easy to put on in the field, just take them off, stick em in your pocet and put them on when you get to the stand! Takes a just a few seconds per arrow once you get to your stand. Sometimes the best fix is the simplest.

@oiBriiaN yes when the FOB pops off the nock is still stuck to it so it comes off in one piece. I was skeptical at first but Paul and the team at Starrflight are quick to respond to any and all emails. Get a set and try them out! You'll be surprised.

so when the FOB pops off does te arrow nock come off also?

@MegaDanbo. This previous post is incorrect. I shoot FOB's and will NoT shoot anything else. With that said...they are heavier than blazers and most other traditional fletching. However..."out of a perfectly tuned bow" fobs had the same impact point at 40 yards as razr feathers with a helical that weighs a total of 9grains. It has everything to do with aeronautical physics. Ie..vacuum, lift, resistance, etc.

@MegaDanbo actually, u gain arrow speed. Fobs are lighter than regular fletching. For example, blazers are like 6 grains a peice, so with a 3 fletch pattern, they weigh 18 grains, fobs are like 9 if im nt mistaking and are super short so wind drift becomes almost no problem, when i had to switch back to vanes, my groups loosened up a little and winddrift started affecting my arrows. But now that i have a faster rest, ill switchback

Ah, i love these things but i had problems with them and clearance considering my pse omen shoots 366, :O, so my arrows hit quite a bit, but i switched to a limbdriver arrowrest so i have no worries and hopefully can return to these, after i get my trophy ridge crush arrows again, i tried maxima but nt as accurate considering TR crush beats them in every category including durablity and penetraton. Much straighter with tighter tollerances.
i really recommend the FOB fletchings for practice they are amazingly consistent and are cheap for the amount of abuse they can handle.
i used FOB's this past year and had a few problems in the field. when walking threw the thick brush the fobs got snagged and i lost two of them. SO to rap things up, use only for practice and tree stands. hope this helped :)

@Xxhoyt1992xX I actually have a solution for that man, I have a sure-loc lethal weapon sight, and there is a carry bag with it )you can get them all over the place online. when I go into the field i take the sight bag and put them around the bottom of my quiver (exactly what Nugent does with his fletchings)- i even think that they make a "fletching cover" now.

Great vid, I have never shot the FOB but they seem decent. Only thing I dont like about them is that they pop of on impact like you showed and on pass threws.

See, that's one of the things that i love about them...they pop off right where the animal was standing, you find your FOB- you find your blood trail, PLUS you can change them out, in seconds...no more re-fletching, they don't get bent, folded, or torn like vanes can...there was a recent episode on the Outdoor channel that Ted Nugent shot 3 blacktails...all 3 were bad hits, and it was because hit vanes were folded...flexibility=inconsistency

but when or if the fob does fall off isn't it kind of a pain to fine. I.E, deep grass?

anything can be hard to find in deep grass. I'm not even pullin punches here, i have lost FOBs, i have lost arrows with vanes on them. I have actually recovered more arrows with FOBs on them then vanes (with blood on them vanes get dulled out, FOBs stay bright, and show you where to start lookin).
