Some dogs have drainage from the eyes, lips, or lick their feet and toes to cause skin infections. Washing these up with soap and water, and then apply Neosporin or Peroxide daily. If there is severe swelling or pain, seek veterinary services

  • my dog is 10 - 11 years old and he have a mouth infection or mushroom i don't know. it stinks and its very sensitive. we tried lot of things but i don't know if it could actually work with him. they removed some teeth because they though it was tooth that making this infection... i love my dog and i hate to see him suffer and say GO AWAY YOU STINK! he have lot of white saliva coming out of is lips... thanks for someone could help, its a english epagnol and its been 5 years now i think.

  • @mortdepeur13 Has to be a gum infection, tumor, another bad tooth, or even kidney failure. He should be checked again and may need blood work

  • @DrGregDVM Thanks for the fast respond! yes blood work should be the best we could do. i'm almost sure it could be gum infection.

  • @mortdepeur13 Sounds like blood work and another round of antibiotics is in his future

  • Your inspire me so much to be a vet,ive always wanted to be one it seems fun, is it? i mean takeing care of animals makes you happy right?

  • @BloodyRoses1001 Its a great job. I love animals. You also have to be comfortable in dealing with people in difficult and emotional situations. After 30 years, I still love going to work.

  • I had an old english sheepdog. They will keep a wet beard all the time. You can prevent infection in that area by wiping their face several times a day with a clean cloth, soak it in one part water, one part hydrogen peroxide. Do NOT get the cloth in the dogs mouth but, wiping up those bits of saliva and food goes a long way to keeping that area nice, clean and dry. Oh, and you can use regular old unscented baby powder to wipe that area with a brush too. Helps keep it drier.

  • My dog has those colored gums is that normal? Also we dont brush her teeth but we just started giving her treats for her teeth, should we do more?

  • @DrGregDVM thanks! weve used it before on scrapes and small cuts. just wanted to make sure its not harmful if he manages to lick some.

  • Respond to this video...Many vets use antibiotics one to two weeks a month if needed. Topical cleaning may take place of this. Avoid allergic treats and feed more healthy oils
