That's why I never understood why the WWF didn't push Steamboat to the heavyweight title picture like they did Savage. I know they punished him for wanting to take time off to be with his new baby, but damn. They blew a big opportunity. Steamboat and Flair matches before and after Steamboat's time in the WWF were awesome.

Man i miss the Mid-Atlantic wrestling with Bob Caudle, David & Jim Crockett Promotions. all the great wrestlers back in the day. i remember going to the studio in Charlotte where they taped the show every week and watching it live, GREAT TIMES, GREAT WRESTLING !!!!!!!!!

I remember it too. Flair had stolen Mulligan's hat & tore it to pieces. I used to watch it on WGHP 8 I think. And Mid-Atlantic was on WBTV 3.
