Beau is a 9 yr old QH gelding who suffers from navicular syndrome. He is at the Nexus Center to begin his rehab process. In this video Lauren Gruber assesses the situation, describes how she plans to trim and then performs his first trim. All four feet have the same issues. The video only shows the trimming of the front.

  • With all due respect, how do you know this is navicular syndrome without x-rays? People often confuse contracted heels and heel pain with navicular syndrome, which is what this appears to be due to the heels having been left far to high therefore the digital cushion loosing it´s strength. Navicular syndrome can´t be resolved, it can be alleviated once the navicular bone becomes calcified or the contrary and more common. degeneration occurs. But it can´t be cured!
