  • Now where else in the period 1962-1964 could you see both A4s and Coronations working in regular service. There were A2s, A3s, Vs,Black 5s, Scots and Princesses at Perth, Stirling and Larbert. The big turns were the morning arrival from Euston & the 9.00 a.m. and the midday to Euston. Then there was the 9.25 Crewe-Perth and the London -Perth with the "Fish" and the Postal with the Heilan Piper Fast freight in the evening (usually the loco off the 9.41 Liverpool Exchange to Glasgow that morning)
