Hey, Funimation, is there any chance at all that you can convince Hajime Kanzaka to get the rest of the novels animated for at least another 2-3 seasons?
Slayers is as popular in America (if not more so) as it is in Japan. The only thing holding it back is the lack of mainstream advertising. Everyone I have shown Slayers to has LOVED it and went out and bought the seasons after they got done watching my copies of it.
I'd love to see more Slayers seasons, I'm sure that ALL of us would!

@obscuritylord Xellos wants to kill him because he revived the same way as Gaav and wasn't their "true" lord. He was just a ghost, a shadow of the former piece of Shabranigdo.

@BREAKMEKNEES PowerFlame's analysis sounds to me like 'implicit characterization'—certainly not "fan fiction." Xellos' anime, manga and light novel depictions differ slightly, but each holds to a common 'benevolent antagonist' inclination. Since Xellos' explicit characterization is purposefully vague (Kanzaka chose to keep Xellos/Zelas' motivations ambiguous, even to himself) and none of PowerFlame's inferences contradict Slayers canon, there are no grounds to claim "out of character," either.
