can you write audio humm in vim?

Obviously you don't know what you are talking about. You probably didn't learn Vim well enough or you're not a touch typist.
I use Vim as an efficient tool for everything. When I was forced to web develop I used Vim and the windows guy I was working with was so impressed by my vimskills that he tried to switch to vim (but was too noobish).

You don't know what you are talking about. Probably you didn't learn vim right.

Vim is good for quick editing of scripts etc on UNIX box.
Is it good for the purist? Yes. Is it an efficient tool for web development? Absolutely not.
I champion any development activities but using VIM for more than simple text editing is well, foolish.

I use vim for development in Perl/C/C++/Java.
