@CRTV1982 Well, in that case you should be in favor of same-sex marriage, or rather that 2 or more consenting adults can make an agreement (marry) without government interfering.

How it is dividing to be wanting to educate people? I really believe that the work being done, by RFSL in Sweden for example, is bringing people and families together rather than dividing them.

From here on it's hard to discuss, 'cause I can't prove that I'm right and neither can you, so it just boils down to belief.

@joelwiklund90 As for a difference between a sexuality and a hobby, well, obviously they are different. Laws against sodomy do not put people in prison for being homosexual but put them in prison for the acting or the perception on your sexuality. Just as firearms enthusiasts are not put in jail for liking firearms but rather put in jail for violations or percieved violations of "weapons laws". You understand what I am saying?

@joelwiklund90 I would most likely fall in the category of a "Classical Liberal" or a "Libertarian".

Said agenda I speak of is one not actually about helping homosexuals but is rather to use them to push a form of totalitarianism. Those who push this agenda do this under the guise of "helping homosexuals" but in reality they are dividing homosexuals from heterosexuals to take essential individual liberties from both. That is my view on it in a nutshell.

@CRTV1982 What you're referring to is most likely social liberalism or classical liberalism, not modern liberalism or neo-liberalism. Well, we can argue whether or not sex-ed class should exist but my point is simply that if it is, it should be comprehensive (iow actually mention other things than man+woman=marriage+kids)

And when it comes to your friend, she's was obviously not discriminated. But I still don't get what this "agenda" would be?

@joelwiklund90 There is obviously an agenda present. I would prefer the NRA do it because they are, despite what the media may tell you, a very knowledgeable source on firearms and much of their work does deal with the proper handling of firearms. Many also do not seem to know that they were not founded as a lobby though.

The point is that when you have people claiming that cases like those are discrimination, then how can you expect people to take the real claims seriously? Is there any doubt a straight couple would have been fired in that situation? As for me, firearms are my hobby and I would NEVER want tax dollars in school to educate kids on firearms as when the government subsidizes something

@joelwiklund90 I do not know if I would go as far as to say "gays are recruiting children", though what I would say is that there is a lobby here as there seems to be one in Sweden that is pushing topics that should be left in the bedroom on to kids. I tend to disagree that is the right approach. A lesbian I knew was fired from McDonalds a few years ago. She claimed she was fired because "she is gay." When I talked to other people I found out she was fired because she was having sex with her

@joelwiklund90 The problem is that modern liberals use the rhetoric to push through laws that do not have a thing to do with what they say. For example, racial quotas, the claim that they are "making it so minorities are not discriminated against due to their race." Many of the laws proposed go against freedoms that would be otherwise accepted by the people. Here in the US anyone who criticizes Obama's actions often gets labeled a "racist" by his supporters when race had nothing to do with it.

@CRTV1982 It sounds to me that you're advocating modern liberalism (iow government = bad) but never mind.

It works both ways doesn't it though. When you create laws saying that discrimination based on ethnicity is illegal, this includes everybody. Same thing with sexuality. It isn't protecting special groups. It's protecting everybody.

And when it comes to hatred, I still believe education is a key word, but it's hard when people think "the gays are recruiting the children"...
