The Swing Nut was a big hit for drummers at the 2011 NAMM show. Drummer Robert Mailhouse provides a funny demo for Gibraltar Hardware's newest product showing how easy it is to mount your cymbals. This new product will save set up time and eliminate those wasted minutes looking for the wing nut you dropped on the darkened stage.

Thx for asking! There is a plastic sleeve, it’s just hidden by the two felts.. At no point is the cymbal ever touching any metal on the stand anywhere.

ripoff..this item was sold by zildjian in the late 60's....sorry, only difference is the spring...back then you only bought the swing nut replacing the wing nut..it still pivited without having to push down a cymbal...and best of all it was cheaper....

These seem like they will actually choke the cymbal a little due to the spring pressure. This is something many drummers might not like, want, or need.

Grombals make about 1000 times more sense. These look like they would break in a hardware bag/case.

He said unbelievable like 100 times. And besides spring causes cymbal to press the felt harder so instead of getting a full, ritch sound of a cymbal, you get a choked one. In my opinion, Pearl's gyro lock tilters are way better solution.....no offense to gibraltar and it's innovators
