  • Funny how music has the ability to reach down into your spirit. I cannot listen to this without being taken back emotionally to the days from which this came. It moves me to melancholy for simpler days gone past. I long for the smell of patchouli and walks on the beach in Santa Cruz and it fills me with the desire to get stoned, break out my paints and do some art. A song by Beautiful Day has the same effect- “White Bird"

  • The decline from airplane to starship was quite sad to witness.

  • @HighMindedLunacy I heard this while hiking at Point Reyes Station (Marin County)

on headphones at dusk when I came out to the point where you could see the Farallon islands out in the Pacific Ocean. Very haunting and serene. Brought me back a few years.

  • This album was consummate in the sound of the '60's with it's great Rock, and with the terrific ballad sound of Marty Balin. The sound of that '60's Flute and that gentle strumming of the guitar have a haunting beautiful and peaceful sound in a time of unrest.

  • @SencaDreves I remember listening to this when "Surrealistic Pillow" came out. Very '60's ballad by marty balin. The lyrics are first class artistry.

  • The first 8 track I bought,(remember them?)Bought a mint copy of the vinyl mid eighties and have only played it 8 times since. It takes me back to my 57 chevy cruising with Janice 1969.What a great album and time machine!

  • In those days, great flute playing was everywhere. The soft and languid flute sweeps us along with Marty's voice, forever taking us back and remembering loves found and lost. This will always evoke my youth in NYC, bellbottoms, The Village, the boys, the friends, the guitar playing...

  • @Jhensy2012 Probably the best of a Great balladeer, Marty Balin. This was real quality.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I ever heard.....Great lyrics...........

  • I absolutly love this song
