Cuddy revealed that we can actually change feelings we have about our own status through the physical positions we take with our bodies. Her research participants had higher levels of testosterone and lower levels of cortisol after only two minutes in a "power pose". Cuddy asked if such findings can have wider implications for empowerment training.

I prefer the TED Talks considering the low quality of the youtuber's comments here in this channel and the stupids laughs of the audience on the PopTech's stage that almost got pissed off Amy Cuddy. Don't get me wrong but the audience on TED is more selected taking in mind the high price to pay for an entrance at TED's lectures.

I used to post TED videos but it's no longer possible, for some reason they are recognized as copyrighted although they are supposed to be under a creative commons license.

At 16:02, I suspect that Amy was giving an Italian gesture at her audience--and a well-deserved gesture at that :-)

I believe it is false to claim that ideas can be owned by another person. I have thought up dozens of awesome ideas on my own, only to google them, and find out that somebody else is onto the same thing. In our ownership society ideas have been given ownership but it is at a detriment. Ideas exist as part of the collective mind and that fact has been scientifically exhibited.

I agree that the most important thing about spreading the knowledge of the ideas behind "powerposes" is that it is done! The fact that it's a combination of various old known techniques and knowledge about fysical apperance are less relevant ;)

However, the thing about scientific research in regards to the amount of increased or decreased amount of testosterone. I'd like to see a reference to a valid scientific study report on that! ( I've been working with research analysis for many years ;) )

Spreading knowledge to the people is great! But wrapping other peoples wisdom and hard work in to a new package and call it your own "idea" is a fraud! That's all I'm opossing against! ;)

I think it's sad for her parents (if so) payed a ton of money for her attending Harvard business scholl! And what she preaches is stuff you can learn from reading one or a few books from the library combined with a few yoga classes... There's NO new wisdom here! It's old knowledge brought to us with a new lable.. But then again.. that's the american way... You always try to sell old knowledge branded with a new name. Just like you did with "mindfulness". sorry, but you are so full of BS!
