  • Akido isn't useless, but it's not a fighters art form. It's martial arts for pacifists, totally stripped down to being devoid of any offense.

Seagal is a fraud. Notice how he only "taught" Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida after they were already world class fighters?

The real Seagal ran away from a fight with Van Damme and got his ass kicked by Gene Lebell after bragging about how nobody on the planet could choke him out because he had a foolproof counter. What an idiot.

  • Segal is one of the most unpleasant persons in Hollywood. Has a big ego and throws it around.

  • @windstorm1000 Hollywood? Not since the early 90's I'm afraid.

  • There's no mma champs that train under him. Anderson silva and machida don't go train with him. It was a one time thing and he tried to see John jones but jones told him to fuck off

  • seagal isn't Italian hes a russian-jew...hes just a wannabe.

  • HOWARD 4 PRESIDENT

  • @StanBennet Maybe he's in a Buhda phase?

  • Italians like to eat! Ya gotta have some vice! In a real fight? Karate has to win quick, kicks are too slow and the submission expert usually wins! That would be Segal! He does have an ego problem, which is really puzzling because he's a Buddest. But, then again, everybody on the right pretends to be Christian and never ever follow Jesus' teachings! Go figure!

  • How come Seagal is so fat when he's suppose to be some guru?

  • Ha ha ha ha ha that was the best Seagal roasting I have ever heard of.Oh I just laughed my ass off

  • @onemortal: Don't get me wrong, I like JCVD better, but I wouldn't dismiss Seagal as a fraud. He's unwisely self-assured and his movies are too violent, which is just contrary to the philosophy of the art he practices. But he is a cop, he does train many champs, he does believe in himself and the things he learnt. You've gotta admire that. If he's a fraud why has he worked in the police force for so long and why are there so many MMA champs training under him ? He can' be THAT bad.

  • @onemortal: You don't quite connect the facts you yourself gave in your message. Because aikido is a defensive style, people who practice it don't fight unless they REALLY need to. Seagal refused to fight JCVD because that's the philosophy of aikido, to avoid conflicts. As for Lebell, S wanted to prove something and dared L to choke him out; L did his best and did choke S out, but that wasn't a REAL fight. As for Silva & Lyoto, they seeked S's help in order to REMAIN champs.
