http://steigerlaw.typepad.com/los_angeles_personal_inju/ This new law makes it an infraction to write, send, or read text-based communication on an electronic wireless communications device, such as a cell phone, while driving a motor vehicle in California. Previously this was only illegal for individuals under 18 years of age, but now has been expanded to all drivers. You can contact Lowell Steiger at (323) 852-1100 or www.steigerlaw.com
so, basically, what you're saying is, i can get pulled over for changing my music on my ipod... and get a ticket because the officer will argue that i was text messaging?
say bye bye to your rights to privacy in your own car. this law gives cops any excuse to pull you over. what an abuse of power.
