As requested a comparison video comparing the Scor-Pal to the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

These are my personal opinions - and I bought both of 'em with my own cash! :o)

  • Thanks so much for this video! I have been wondering about the comparisons as my friend is converting to the MS one after many years because of the envie capabilities. I am worried about switching to the MS one because of the bone folder flimsiness. I don't want to have two. That is just ridiculous for me to have two of something, esp considering storage limitations. Still not sure what to do.

  • @cahbsn unless you are really big on making a lot of envelopes and doing projects that need a lot of scoring in even increments that the ScorPal doesn't have - you really don't need the MS one if you've already got the ScorPal!

  • canyou use the a "regular" scoring tool in the MS one?? I'm getting a MS one, and i'm very pleased with it (worked with it once) but as you said, the tool isn't "all that", so I want to use my regular ones... is that possible? will they fit in the slots to score?? thanks. XoXo Karin

  • @ayellessnuffelhoek I know a regular bone folder will work (like the one Stampin Up sells) - not sure what else will work - I want to get the larger Martha Stewart bone folder I just haven't had a chance to yet!

  • i found a mat that fits right in the Martha Stewart SB for under 1o bucks Canadian at my local dollar and up store and its not a cheap one its great and fits right inside perfectly. tfs.

  • You can glue Popsicle sticks to the flimsy scoring tool to stiffen the handle while retaining the thin blade.

  • @wimarinemom

I saw your comment about the MS scoreboard, and I agree w/you about the chart under the flap, I had my 12 year old type up what it says for me and I have a copy of it now. Have someone else copy the chart for you. It worked for me. :)

  • I have a Martha Stewart board and love it, I have used the Score Pal and didn't like it. As for the scoring tool in the MS board, you are right when you say that it is garbage! I use other tools with it. Again, Thank-you for the information it helps!!

  • Thank you for this comparison! This really helped me. I've heard of people using the Cricut bone folder for the Martha Stewart score board instead of the one they provide. I've tried it and works pretty good.

  • I am so pleased to have found this video - so informative & useful. Thanks!

  • Hello, You can go onto Oprah.com and print out a 50% off all of Martha Stewart stuff at Michaels, it is good until Oct 16th. I just purchased the MS scoring board for $10.

    WooHoo. Have a great day.
