i see how if you approach someone with "dude" it will lesson thier agression about what ever comment comes next.. because they dont feel they are being attacked. but at the same time.. if i was to say to my fiance' dude, i screwd your brother and dont know who the father of the baby is" ... you can say dude all you want, hes gonna be pissed.. by the way, a "dude" the meaning is actually" a pimple on a donkeys ass".. so actually, calling someone dude, isnt nice at all..
