  • we as people Don't hear our voices the way others do. We hear it. as the way our ears pick it up. then if we record. Ourselfs. We hear hear alot different sounding. Your ears tend to pick up different sounds based on how the sounds come to you.

For me its Kinda hard. Being Hearing impaired. Not knowing what sound was a vary young age.

  • I have a BBC english accent and everyone says im posh but im not im just wellspoken. BBC english is like news readers and stuff its just more well pronounced then lets say the cockney accent?

  • Do Americans have an accent to you?

I heard that as long as it's different from what you are used to then it is an accent to you.

Is your accent considered and English accent? I love your accent :) Peace

  • When you're young your accent has a tendency to shift. When you get halfway into your thirties it tends to set like drying glue...

I believe there's less of an emphasis on accents in North America than there is in the UK..

  • hehe i'll teach u flemish (its the dutch we speak in the flemish part of belgium) and u can help me getting my english up to date? :p

  • i get told i sound southern on the phone i really dont know how or why i never been in the south a day in my life!

  • Your accent rocks! :)

  • Rooby is right, you do look delicious. I don't think I have a telephone/professional voice. My folks are from the midwest, but Dad was in the Air force so I've lived in the northeast, the south and overseas. Mostly on bases so I was always exposed to many regional accents. I've been in the Northwest for more than 30 yrs so I'm sure I sound like someone from here.

My english accent sounds kind of like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins (boy that gives my age away).

  • It varies as much as any other country, I suspect. Actually, in many ways, even more. To someone who doesn't understand Norwegian, and even to some people who're BORN in Norway, some dialects sound like a completely different language. ^_^ If you're wondering about dialects, check out one of my first videos, called "Accents". I talk English in various Norwegian accents there. Then there's Tongue Twister Extreme, which has five Norwegian dialects in it.
