Hair relaxer is poison! There was even a movie/documentary about it called, "Good Hair"... by Chris Rock. Perm is a deadly chemical.
I stopped perming my hair 3 yrs ago...And shaved my head balled! Seriously...I started over, and have been HAPPIER since. My hair grows steadily now, its naturally soft...
..I get temptations to relax, but then I remember the HELL I went thru with the retouching, and new growth, and learning how to care for two (2) types of hair..smdh..not worth it to me.

@ebbsislove93 its not hard people are just lazy and do not want to work out what is best for their child's hair.

@BABYGIRLPRINCESS3 you are killing their hair

her hair is beautiful
If that's your preference that fine. If you are taking care of their hair that's great too. However, it's not recommended to get relaxers so young because at that age their true texture of hair has not matured. Also, with kids that age, they don't typically sleep in silk scarfs or bonnets. Usually when you see kids that age with relaxers, their edges are broken off and very short because of ponytails, playing in their hair, etc...But if their hair is fine...keep up the good work! :-)

Exactly. None of my young clients have relaxers because straightening can be achieved in so many ways that there is no need to put a relaxer in a young child's hair.

Thanks! No, she does not have a relaxer. Her hair is soft and fine. I lightly flat ironed her hair, used, an argan oil, and swept it up it a simple ponytail and curled the ends.
