This outcome is somewhat ridiculous - yes I understand. I'd love to provide an explanation but it seems hard to do so without taking away the excitement of this Countdown. It mostly has to do with Jasmine You, TERU, and Versailles in general. I'll let TERU do the talking...

An absolute beauty. A masterpiece. A tribute to the beloved and fallen Jasmine You, composed by TERU. It was two years ago, on August 9th, that rose petals fell, the light that glimmered so bright in the castle of Versailles turned to tears, Jasmine You departed from this world. He, however, is not gone. He lives forever and ever inside our memories, inside our hearts, and as an eternal member of the exquisite Versailles. TERU's composition caused a memory rush, a reminiscence of the beautiful days......and the Countdown can only reflect that.

The Opening Theme is no other than Versailles's 1st Indies Single - "The Revenant Choir." Exqusite. Magnificent. Perfection. --- Jasmine You was a part of that.


One final note on the Previews. Para:noir's latest composition has impressed me to no end. My perception of the band in general is nothing like it was in the past. I truly love "21g" --- perhaps it takes over the throne next week? Or Megaromania --- "Quintessence Voyage" is simply marvelous. And nano.RIPE is a bit of a pleasant surprise. I've been hearing rumors about "Hanasaku Iroha" and I adore that opening theme. Lastly, I just want to warn you ahead of time that mihimaru GT will probably not even make the Countdown. I'm sorry but I just can't seem to care for the song at all, and the only reason it's in the Previews is because I couldn't find anything else that I wanted to Preview.

I like many of these songs. I am curious, why do almost all the guy look like girls? If it wasn't for the voices, some of these guys at a quick glance i would think they were female. Is the shaved head or bearded look lame in Japan?

@TechnoTranceEra It's just an aspect of a particular music genre called "Visual Kei." A lot of other sub-genres fit in, but that's what the appearance/music style is based off of. It's far too complicated to explain here so I suggest reading the wikipedia aritcle on "Visual Kei" since it answers your questions. The skinhead/bearded style isn't necessarily unpopular, it's just a different genre and a lot of American themed J-Music artists sport it. I suggest a search on this as well for more info

Thank you, very much... I really love you did this for beautiful Jasmine You, it made me teary- I admired him for how talented and wonderful he was so, really, amazing.

As for countdown, I can't say I love it because there were only few songs that I liked, though I really loved seeing Versailles.

and from the previews, mmm i'm interested on para:noir now, they never caught my eye before so now I'll listen to them to see how is it!

I miss Jasmine You so much, Versailles is still gold, but MASASHI is nothing compared to the amazing Bass composure Jasmine You mesmerized me with song after song. "The Revenant Choir" is such a good example of that......Bass so close to perfection, glorifying KAMIJO's vocal chants.

On a side note, the guitar/bass work on the new Megaromania is amazing...
