  • @robcohee I like the new Alias Edge Manipulation tools and think they are very good first step. What's the next step toward making it much easier to create much more cosmetically pleasing models with Inventor?

  • @JonBanquer Hi John. What we have put into Inventor from Alias is the ability to explore form through tools like Edge Manipulation, and Form Symmetry for example. These tools don't require the user to setup complex lofts, rails, and sweeps; rather they allow the user to manipulate form and explore shapes without the structured requirements of parametric features. However, once you are ready to get to an engineering level of detail, switch back to normal modeling and carry on the design.

  • It's unclear to me how much of Alias functionality is really inside of Inventor.

    Care to clarify this.
